Rhonda Gray – Contemporary artist.

Rhonda Gray is a contemporary visual artist creating works that embrace many styles. She likes to explore new ways to share her art, experimenting continually with a wide variety of mediums, techniques and content, choosing the best one to suit the task. Rhonda aims to engage the viewer by combining her realistic practice with her fluency in contemporary techniques.

Rhonda started drawing at a young age, completing extensive studies in painting and drawing and additional studies in sculpture.

For me there is never enough time for art, you simply have to make time and come to terms with the fact that the dishes may still be in the sink in the morning. The direction of my art continually takes twists and turns and I look forward to where it may take me next.

Rhonda coordinated the “Enriching Gippsland voices” exhibition” in 2007, a Community Arts project and exhibition that travelled to various communities around East Gippsland.

A regular exhibitor both locally and across Victoria she has been successful at many shows including the Edrington Grand Art Exhibition, her work has also been acquired by the Baw Baw Shire.

Rhonda has received many awards for her work; in addition her art is in numerous public and private collections. She is also regularly approached to create works on commission.

Her art has been featured in numerous media including Australian Artist Magazine.

Rhonda currently passes on her knowledge through teaching, offering regular drawing classes in both Bairnsdale and Lakes Entrance

In 2013 Rhonda will be judging the Paynesville Art Show, and will be opening the “Community Faces Exhibition” at the Bairnsdale Art Society. She will also take part in the East Gippsland Art Gallery Installation exhibition in October.
